Hortscraper: In 2023, I wrote a webscraper in Python to assist in Debasish Paul's PhD thesis on sustainability in horticulture supply chains. The program gets emails from Google Searches using BeautifulSoup4 and Requests with help from a rotating proxy.
DistroKid Mobile Case Study: In 2022, I created an unsolicited design Case Study for the music aggregator DistroKid, which did not have a mobile app at the time. The official DistroKid app launched in May of 2023, and many of its features are similar to mine. This was a great opportunity to learn the basics of the UX design process.
Sea of Greed: I founded this game's development team in 2017 as a 15 year-old and have led 70+ volunteer developers until early 2024, where I handed the project off to the former Creative Director.
Redstring: My pet project for the last few years has been an open source visual schema editor called Redstring that uses Semantic Web standards like RDF and OWL alongside a visualization of composition and decomposition to display complex relational databases in an intuitive and fun way. I plan on creating specialized tools for scientific communication (mapping frameworks of correlative and causal connections, phylogeny, constructivist cognitive science), public debate, and lots of other use cases.
